🌟 Why Home Visits Became Too Expensive

To repair a ride-on at your home, our technician had to:

  • Drive to your home
  • Transport your ride-on back to the shop
  • Return to your home after repair
  • Drive back to the shop again

That meant four separate trips for every repair.

This made the service slow, costly, and hard to schedule.

 

What You Need to Do:

1. Ensure the scooter is fully accessible for pickup.

2. Remove personal items from the scooter.

3. Provide accurate pickup instructions (gate codes, apartment numbers, etc.).

4.  Include the sales receipt, charger, hardware, parts and any paperwork.

1. Install the Roadie App

• Open the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android)
• Search for “Roadie” - (Home Depot-owned)
• Tap Install
• Open the app

2. Create Your Roadie Account

• Tap “Sign Up”
• Enter your name, email, and phone number
• Create a password
• Enter the verification code sent to your phone

3. Start a New Delivery

•Tap "Send Something"
•Choose "Large Item"
•Tap Next

4. Enter Your Pickup Address

•Type your home address
•Add gate codes or apartment numbers if needed
•Tap Next

5. Enter the Delivery Address

Enter this exactly:

6. Describe the Scooter

•Item Name: Electric Scooter
•Weight: (Most scooters are 40–70 lbs)
•Notes:
“Large item. May require SUV or truck. Please handle with care.”

7. Choose Pickup Time

Select one of the following:

•As soon as possible
•Later today
•Another day

Choose a time when you will be home.

8. Confirm & Pay

•Review the delivery details
•Tap "Confirm Delivery"
•Enter your credit or debit card
•Tap Submit

9. Prepare the Scooter

Before the driver arrives:

•Remove personal items
•Place the scooter near the door
•Folding is helpful but not required
•Be ready when the driver arrives

10. We’ll Contact You When It Arrives

Roadie will notify you when the scooter is delivered to our shop.
We will contact you as soon as it is checked in.
